Svmuu News Asset management giant VanEck has announced a partnership with fintech 401(k) service provider Basic Capital to introduce its selected crypto asset exchange-traded products (ETPs) into US employer-sponsored retirement benefit plans. While neither party specified the exact products to be listed, VanEck's portfolio includes core products such as its spot Bitcoin ETF (HODL), spot Ethereum ETF (ETHV), and spot Avalanche ETF.
This collaboration benefits from a shift in US policy. The US SEC and related departments have recently been expanding 401(k) plans' access to alternative assets. As an emerging retirement fund management platform, Basic Capital secured a $25 million Series A funding round last year led by Forerunner and Lux Capital. Currently, US 401(k) plans hold approximately $10 trillion in assets. This move signifies the accelerating integration of crypto assets into the mainstream traditional pension system. (Cointelegraph)
