Spielberg opposes the replacement of creative talent with AI and clarifies that he has not yet used AI technology in any of his films
Svmuu News: Renowned Hollywood director Steven Spielberg stated that while AI can play a role in many fields, “I do not support it if it replaces creative individuals.” He noted that although he directed the film *A.I. Artificial Intelligence*, he has yet to use AI technology in any of his films, and his screenwriting team is “fully staffed,” with no positions available for AI to fill. It is reported that film and television companies, including Netflix, are currently experimenting with generative AI tools for visual effects or content modification, while also facing copyright disputes. Last month, AMC Theatres even blocked the screening of an AI-produced short film in theaters, indicating that the industry and audiences are still in the exploratory phase regarding the acceptance of AI.
