Svmuu News Web3 security company CertiK made an appearance at the DC Blockchain Summit in the United States. CBO Jason Jiang participated in a thematic forum, engaging in in-depth discussions on crypto infrastructure security and industry regulation.
Citing data from CertiK's "2025 Skynet Hack3D Report," Jason pointed out that smart contract vulnerabilities remain the largest attack surface, while cross-chain bridges, due to their highly concentrated liquidity, have become the preferred high-value targets for hackers. "In 2025, supply chain attacks caused the most severe losses, with just two incidents resulting in over $1.45 billion in damages; 240 phishing attacks became the most frequent type of attack event last year." He also warned that the complex validation mechanisms of cross-chain bridges and the uneven security standards within the industry are becoming core hidden dangers threatening the stability of the crypto ecosystem. Regarding incident response, Jason emphasized that the design of relevant regulatory frameworks should focus on supporting responsible vulnerability disclosure, security technology research, and cross-industry collaboration, rather than hindering response efficiency.
During the summit, Jason Jiang also engaged in exchanges with several U.S. lawmakers, discussing the future development of market structure, how traditional banks can adapt to the new crypto paradigm, and how to strengthen consumer protection and address fraud risks. The focus was on the synergistic role between technology service providers and law enforcement agencies in preventing fraud, combating crime, and protecting consumer rights.
