Cobo Selected as a Key Corporate Partner by the Hong Kong Financial Secretary
Svmuu News: Cobo, a provider of digital asset custody and wallet infrastructure, announced that it has been approved by the Hong Kong government to join the Financial Secretary’s Key Enterprise Partnership program. On April 20, in the presence of Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan and other senior government officials, Cobo COO Lily Z. King attended the signing ceremony and signed the agreement on behalf of the company, officially becoming a Key Enterprise Partner of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. Singapore-based Cobo stated that it will establish its Northeast Asia regional headquarters in Hong Kong, with cumulative investments expected to exceed hundreds of millions of Hong Kong dollars by 2030. The company plans to significantly expand its local team, recruit blockchain, security, and AI professionals globally, and continue to increase its investment in Hong Kong. Additionally, Cobo plans to advance the research and development of infrastructure related to the Cobo Agentic Wallet in Hong Kong and carry out certain R&D work related to the Google Agentic Payment (AP2) protocol, further supporting the development of Hong Kong’s fintech, digital asset, and AI industries.
