Dr. Han, Founder of Gate: Prediction markets are essentially tools for pricing information and are poised to evolve into a new generation of market infrastructure
Svmuu News: On April 20, Dr. Han, founder and CEO of Gate, stated during a group interview with the media at the Rosewood Hotel in Hong Kong that while prediction markets may appear to be an emerging trading category, their underlying logic is closer to that of an “information pricing” tool. By trading to express their judgments on event outcomes, users not only engage in trading activities but also continuously generate a collective consensus on probability, transforming the flow of information in the real world into data that can be priced and validated by the market. Dr. Han believes that the significance of prediction markets for exchanges lies not only in enriching product offerings but also in expanding the dimensions of user participation, extending from the simple trading of assets to judgments on the events themselves. In the long term, as infrastructure continues to improve, prediction markets have the potential to evolve from a short-term trend into something akin to “information infrastructure,” serving as a vital conduit connecting information and capital. Currently, users can access prediction markets directly through the Gate App by navigating to the Polymarket page via the "Alpha" section on the platform’s homepage and using USDT from their exchange accounts to participate in event predictions. Gate will continue to drive the integration of the trading ecosystem with prediction markets to enhance users’ market participation experience.
