Anthropic's New AI Model Mythos Raises Concerns Over Cyber Attacks
Svmuu News According to informed sources, Japan's Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki plans to meet with major domestic banks and other financial institutions as early as this week to discuss Anthropic's new AI model, Mythos. The company previously stated that this model is powerful enough to launch sophisticated cyber attacks. The sources indicated that Suzuki will hold talks with major Japanese financial institutions such as Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, and Mizuho Financial Group. The sources requested anonymity as they were discussing non-public information. Japan's Financial Services Agency declined to comment on the planned meeting. Meanwhile, the Reserve Bank of Australia is also closely monitoring developments related to the AI model Mythos, stating in a declaration that it is "engaging with other regulators, government departments, and regulated entities." The declaration further noted, "The Reserve Bank of Australia will continue to assess the implications of these technological advancements, together with peer regulators and government agencies, to ensure the ongoing safety and resilience of the financial system."
