Svmuu News At the main stage of the Hong Kong Web3 Carnival on April 21, 2026, Dr. Han, Founder and CEO of Gate, delivered a keynote speech titled "Move Everything On-Chain." Dr. Han pointed out that the current crypto market is still in a cyclical adjustment phase, with a simultaneous decline in new asset issuance and trading activity. However, the performance of traditional financial markets is relatively strong; compared to the crypto market, its market capitalization is over a hundred times larger, and its trading volume is dozens of times higher. This phenomenon shows a divergence between TradFi and crypto, making RWA a key pathway to connect them.
Dr. Han further predicted that future finance will move towards integration, with industry segmentation shifting from "crypto vs. traditional" to "whether it is on-chain." Assets that are not on-chain will gradually be priced as inefficient assets. Reflecting on the platform's 13-year development, Gate is now able to serve over 52 million users, cover more than 80 jurisdictions, and manage over $10 billion in assets. Its business has gradually evolved from a trading platform into a diversified global financial infrastructure. Gate is accelerating its on-chain layout, planning to list thousands of tokenized assets within the year and expand trading in spot, perpetuals, and CFDs, promoting the integration of CEX and DEX. The platform will continue to strengthen its on-chain and multi-asset capabilities, enhance the efficiency of global asset flows, and further drive the integration of on-chain finance with traditional markets.
