Analyst: Traders may reduce their risk exposure ahead of the Federal Reserve's decision
Svmuu News Pepperstone analyst Michael Brown said that traders may reduce their exposure to risk assets before the Federal Reserve announces its interest rate decision at 2:00 a.m. Beijing time on Thursday, as well as before the earnings reports from U.S. tech giants such as Microsoft, Google parent company Alphabet, Amazon, and Meta. He pointed out: “Given the risk of these events approaching, many participants will want to cut positions.” He stated that traders are also “realizing” that there is still no good news regarding the conflict in the Middle East, with no signs of a peace agreement between the U.S. and Iran, and the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked.
