Svmuu News: “The White-Haired Stock Guru” Serenity posted on X, stating that global markets are currently undergoing a correction, and it is unclear when it will end. The KOSPI fell 8.18%, with SK Hynix and Samsung among the decliners. The Nikkei 225 fell 4.8%. The Taiwan Weighted Index fell 3.82%. SOI and RKLB dropped by 30% to 40%.
From my personal experience, high-beta stocks are hit much harder, but they typically lead the broader market indices lower and tend to recover sooner. Aside from the typically volatile South Korean market, when major indices start falling 3% to 4% daily, it’s usually not a good time to invest.
