Svmuu News: Zcash developer Sean Bowe posted on X, stating that significant progress has been made on the Zcash Ironwood upgrade. All consensus rule changes have been implemented and are currently undergoing audit; the relevant specifications and ZIP files have been released and are nearing their final versions. The mainnet activation height will be announced shortly, with activation expected around July 21. The official testnet activation is scheduled for tomorrow, and a version of the Zebra client supporting this update is expected to be released today.
Sean Bowe noted that the timely and secure activation of Ironwood on the Zcash mainnet is critical for users, and the team is concurrently conducting formal verification to ensure there are no risks to supply integrity. Current hash rate signals clearly indicate that technical readiness is in place. The main concern is that some wallets may not have completed their upgrade preparations in time; however, given the availability of sufficient alternatives and testnet time, this does not constitute a valid reason for a delay.
