Senior Iranian Official Says Mediators Have Proposed a 10-Day Ceasefire Between Iran and the U.S.
Svmuu News: The mediators in the Iran-U.S. negotiations have presented a proposal to the Iranian side aimed at de-escalating the current situation. The proposal recommends a 10-day ceasefire in an effort to resume implementation of the memorandum of understanding reached between Iran and the U.S. last month. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Baghaei said at a press conference that day that Iran had received the proposal put forward by the mediators of the U.S.-Iran negotiations, but that he was not at liberty to disclose specific details at this time. He also noted that Iran’s Minister of the Interior would visit Pakistan that day to hold consultations on matters of mutual concern between the two countries. (Xinhua News Agency)
