Israeli West Bank Settler Tells BBC Attacks on Palestinians Are Justified as Revenge, Equating One Jewish Life to "10 Million" Palestinians
An Israeli settler in the West Bank, Yehuda Shimon, told the BBC that recent attacks on Palestinian villages were justified as revenge for the killing of an Israeli security guard. Shimon, a lawyer representing Israelis accused of violence against Palestinians, stated that one Jewish life is equivalent to "10 million" Palestinians and called for the killing of residents in specific Palestinian villages. The interview comes amid a rise in settler violence in the West Bank, where 64 Palestinians and one Israeli have been killed this year as of July 20, according to the UN Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
