Ukraine stated it conducted overnight strikes deep inside Russia, hitting a major oil refinery and the Engels airfield in the Saratov region, approximately 600km (373 miles) from the border. President Zelensky described these as "long-range sanctions" against facilities he says finance Russia's war. Russia reported that eight people were killed in Ukrainian strikes and 635 drones were shot down or intercepted. Meanwhile, Moscow's military said it attacked two Ukrainian ports and two vessels in the Black Sea overnight, and Ukraine reported one person killed in a Russian strike near Kharkiv.
