Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Stock Climbs Over 13% After Q2 Earnings Beat Estimates and Company Raises Full-Year Guidance
Shares of Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) rose more than 13% this past week after the shipbuilder reported strong second-quarter results and increased its full-year outlook. In Q2, HII's revenue grew 10.9% year-over-year to $3.4 billion, while net earnings surged 36.8% to $208 million, or $5.27 per share, significantly beating Wall Street's estimates of $3.82 per share. The company also lifted its full-year shipbuilding revenue target to approximately $10.3 billion (from $9.8 billion) and its operating margin target to 6.25% (from 6%).
