Sources revealed that AI developer Anthropic has reached this agreement with cloud infrastructure startup Volta Infra Holdings Ltd. Volta, founded in January this year by former Brookfield executives, announced on the same day the completion of a $300 million venture capital round, valuing it at $2.4 billion. The Norwegian data center will be managed by Volta and operated in partnership with Bitcoin mining company Bitdeer Technologies Group, which is transforming some of its crypto mining farms for AI applications. This move is Anthropic's latest strategic arrangement for hashrate reserves, following agreements with SpaceX, AMD, and Akamai, highlighting AI developers' urgent demand for hashrate resources and increasingly massive capital investment.
