Walters stated the team used its remaining treasury and available funds to settle the lawsuit. Burwick Law had filed a federal class action lawsuit in April, accusing Eliza Labs, Walters, and affiliates of false advertising, deceptive practices, negligent misrepresentation, and unjust enrichment. The lawsuit claimed the project falsely marketed itself as an autonomous, AI-managed venture fund and diluted holders during a token migration. Walters said he does not intend to support or launch another token linked to Eliza, and will instead focus on the open-source Eliza AI agent framework.
