Amazon CEO Andy Jassy stated that its cloud services (Amazon) are expected to generate $1 trillion in revenue annually in the future, significantly higher than his previous forecast of "several hundred billion dollars." Amazon achieved $42.2 billion in revenue in the second quarter, a year-over-year increase of 37%, and has an order backlog of up to $496 billion. Amazon plans to invest heavily in building more data centers in the coming years, with $220 billion to be invested in 2026, to convert these orders into revenue.
