Apple's fiscal third-quarter iPhone revenue of $54.25 billion not only increased by nearly 22% but also surpassed analysts' expectations of $53.86 billion. Additionally, data from IDC shows that Apple's iPhone shipments grew 15.3% year-over-year in the second calendar quarter, making it one of only two major smartphone brands to defy an overall 6.7% year-over-year decline in total smartphone shipments. This marks the second consecutive quarter that Apple has achieved the industry's highest year-over-year increase in unit shipments amid a broad drop in smartphone demand.
