According to Al Jazeera, despite official claims of a ceasefire, the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas and its surrounding areas continued to suffer attacks in July. Local residents reported that on July 11, both Shahid Rajaee Port (Iran's largest commercial port) and the airport in Bandar Abbas were simultaneously attacked. Furthermore, the conflict in February began with an attack on a school in Minab, while the July conflict started with an attack on a soldiers' dormitory in Bampour. Local residents believe that the media describes these attacks as "natural incidents during a ceasefire," but for them, it is a full-scale war, with fishing boats and merchant ships also becoming targets.
