Bill Ackman's Pershing Square Capital Management disclosed that it has built a Microsoft stake worth $2.09 billion, while simultaneously reducing its Google holdings by nearly 95%.
According to Pershing Square's 13F filing submitted on May 15, 2026, for the period ending March 31, the company initiated a new position of 5,654,078 shares in Microsoft (Microsoft, NASDAQ:MSFT), valued at approximately $2.09 billion, representing 15.26% of its disclosed portfolio and making it one of its primary holdings. Concurrently, Pershing Square significantly reduced its holdings in Google (Alphabet, NASDAQ:GOOG, NASDAQ:GOOGL), cutting GOOG class shares by approximately 94.94% and GOOGL class shares by approximately 95.2%. This move comes as other peer fund managers have been reducing their Microsoft holdings, with Ackman going against the trend, betting on Microsoft's ability to monetize enterprise AI more quickly into sustained earnings.
