$1.9 Trillion Asset Manager T. Rowe Price Included Memecoins in Its Crypto ETF, Stating Exclusion Would Undermine Active Strategy
The firm's head of digital assets, Blue Macellari, explained that the decision for the actively managed multi-token spot crypto ETF, launched in July, was to build a complete representation of the crypto market. Macellari noted that active management means judging each eligible token on its investment merits, not dismissing it due to reputation. The ETF currently lists dogecoin (DOGE) as part of its rotation, making up 1.26% of the fund.
