Crews recover 19 bodies from rubble of destroyed Gaza building, most are women and children
Gaza's civil defence stated that the recovery, which concluded on Saturday, was from the "Karam" building in Gaza City's western area. Recovery efforts are hampered by a chronic shortage of heavy machinery, forcing crews to rely on rudimentary tools and manual labor. Gaza’s Health Ministry reports over 8,000 people remain missing under rubble across the territory. Since the ceasefire on October 11 last year, at least 1,254 people have been killed and 804 bodies recovered from rubble.
