A Yahoo Finance analyst, Micah Zimmerman, who had been bearish on Microsoft (MSFT) stock for five years, has now changed his mind, calling it an "easy buy" for long-term investors. This shift is attributed to Microsoft's deep integration into AI and cloud computing, alongside robust financial performance.
For the fiscal year ending June 30, Microsoft reported revenue growth of 18% to over $331 billion and operating income up 21% to over $155 billion. Its AI business has reached an annual run rate exceeding $37 billion, growing 123% year-over-year. The Intelligent Cloud segment saw 32% growth in the latest quarter, with Azure's annual revenue now surpassing $100 billion. Additionally, Microsoft 365 Copilot has garnered over 30 million paid seats, with quarterly net additions more than doubling.
