This deal, which could extend to $16.1 billion with two five-year options, marks a significant shift for Riot, leveraging its infrastructure built for Bitcoin mining to serve the electricity-hungry AI sector. Riot's shares rose following the announcement, as the estimated revenue from the deal exceeds the company's 2025 total revenue of $647.4 million and its pre-deal market worth of approximately $7.3 billion. Riot previously secured a 50 MW data center contract with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) at the same facility.
