Vale and ABB sign agreement to promote automation technology at Brazilian iron ore plants
The collaboration aims to replicate the automation, digitalization, and IT/OT integration technology solutions successfully implemented at Vale's Conceição II demonstration plant, across Vale's other iron ore processing operations in Brazil. Since adopting these digital solutions, the Conceição II plant has seen a 25% increase in productivity, a 40% increase in the production of high-quality ore for direct reduction, and a 26% reduction in iron loss in tailings.
