This surge comes as employers rapidly integrate AI skills into job postings, with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) reporting that AI skills in entry-level job descriptions rose from 10.5% in fall 2025 to 16.5% in spring 2026. A Brookings Institution report also found that job-relevant non-degree credentials are associated with a 3.8% wage premium.
