Uber partners with China's Pony.ai, plans to deploy 2,000 autonomous robotaxis in Europe and expand into the Middle East
Uber and Chinese autonomous driving company Pony.ai announced that they will cooperate to deploy 2,000 autonomous taxis in Europe, with plans to expand the partnership to the Middle East. Previously, the two companies had launched a commercial autonomous taxi service in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, at the end of March. This cooperation aims to expand the fleet size to accelerate the commercialization process of autonomous driving technology.
