The Israeli military announced on Sunday that it had killed senior Hezbollah commander Abu Hassan Alaa in southern Lebanon a day earlier. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that these attacks were in retaliation for a previous Hezbollah attack that seriously wounded three soldiers, resulting in a total of 11 deaths. This conflict is the latest setback in efforts to end the parallel war in the Middle East.
