Visa is looking for a new stablecoin settlement partner to replace BVNK, which was acquired by Mastercard. According to documents seen by CoinDesk, Visa's Request for Proposal (RFP) emphasizes that the new partner needs multi-regional licensing capabilities, support for various stablecoins, and the ability to handle settlements for the newly launched Open USD (OUSD) program. Visa is particularly interested in settlement and over-the-counter (OTC) partners holding cryptocurrency exchange licenses in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Singapore. Visa launched its Visa stablecoin platform last month, with OUSD being its first supported token.
