According to its Q2 2026 13F filing, Appaloosa Management, the hedge fund run by David Tepper, known for his successful bet on Micron Technology, established new positions in American Airlines with 7.5 million shares (valued at $135.5 million) and Boeing with 800,000 shares (valued at $173.2 million). During the same period, Berkshire Hathaway increased its stake in Delta Air Lines, and Stanley Druckenmiller's Duquesne Family Office also initiated a new position in Delta Air Lines and increased its holdings in United Airlines, indicating that several prominent investors are turning to the airline industry.
