Analysis: Amazon and Oracle are the most vulnerable hyperscalers to AI CapEx risk, posting free cash flow deficits of $27B and $24B respectively
Analysis indicates that both Amazon and Oracle spent more on AI capital expenditures than they generated in free cash flow, unlike Microsoft which still generated $68 billion in FCF despite high CapEx. Oracle carries a thin margin for error with $125 billion in debt and a BBB credit rating, while Amazon's retail segment may struggle to subsidize its high CapEx run rate indefinitely.
