The White House announced that, according to the latest 2025 Uniform Crime Report released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the violent crime rate in the United States significantly decreased during the Donald Trump administration, marking the largest drop in U.S. history. Specifically, in 2025, the overall violent crime rate decreased by 9.3%, the murder rate by 18.1%, the robbery rate by 18.5%, the rape rate by 7.6%, and aggravated assault by 7.2%. Additionally, property crime also decreased by 12.4%. Preliminary data indicates that crime rates continued to fall in the first half of 2026, with violent crime dropping by another 10.6% and murder by another 23%.
