Ethereum engineering firm Nethermind leaves LayerZero verifier role to join Chainlink as a node operator
Ethereum engineering firm Nethermind leaves LayerZero verifier role to join Chainlink as a node operator. Nethermind, a core contributor to the Ethereum ecosystem, announced Wednesday that it is migrating its cross-chain operations to Chainlink following an extensive review. As a Chainlink node operator and strategic technology provider, Nethermind will help secure Chainlink's CCIP and Data Feeds. This move reflects a shift by a prominent LayerZero infrastructure operator toward Chainlink's secure architecture, coming months after an April attack on Kelp DAO's rsETH bridge, which resulted in a $292 million loss from the LayerZero-powered bridge.
