Motley Fool Analyst: Amazon AWS Q2 Backlog Reaches $496 Billion, Highlighting Strong Demand and Insufficient Supply
Motley Fool analysts point out that Amazon's cloud computing division, Amazon Web Services (AWS), had a backlog of $496 billion at the end of the second quarter. The analysis suggests that this figure indicates very high demand for AWS, and Amazon is currently unable to build data centers fast enough to meet demand. Supply shortages are expected in both 2026 and 2027, and demand for 2028 has even started to emerge.
