During the call on August 18, Hesai's CEO Li Yifan stated that the second quarter of 2026 marked a major turning point for the company, as it expands into a full-stack infrastructure platform for robotics and physical AI. This platform comprises three layers: 'See' (lidar), 'Understand' (Kosmo for 3D spatial assets), and 'Act' (robotic actuation modules). Li noted that the core lidar business continues to scale profitably, Kosmo shipped prototypes in July 2026 and secured initial orders, and actuation modules began generating revenue in Q2 2026. The company also secured new design wins with Great Wall Motor and Volkswagen (via its China JV brands) for ADAS lidar, and Li Auto's L6 model now offers an optional 4-lidar configuration at a mainstream price point. Hesai held 44% of China's long-range ADAS lidar market in June 2026, maintaining the #1 position for 17 consecutive months.
