Veteran investor Andrew Sather refuses to buy into SpaceX's IPO, instead recommending three profitable publicly traded aerospace stocks: Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and L3Harris Technologies.
Andrew Sather, co-host of the podcast "Investing for Beginners," stated that he declined to purchase SpaceX's IPO, citing his discipline of not buying IPOs and concerns that approximately 911 million insider shares could become available after the lock-up period, tripling the public float. He placed SpaceX at the bottom of his investment options. Sather recommended three publicly traded companies with profitable space businesses: Northrop Grumman (NYSE:NOC), Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT), and L3Harris Technologies (NYSE:LHX). Northrop Grumman's space systems revenue for Q2 2026 was $2.753 billion, up 4% year-over-year; Lockheed Martin's space revenue for the same period was $3.496 billion, up 6% year-over-year; and L3Harris Technologies' space and mission systems revenue was approximately $3 billion, up 7% year-over-year.
