Charles Schwab U.S. Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD) attracted $679 million in inflows over five trading days, with its stock price rising by 2.39%.
The ETF's share price rose by 2.39%, reflecting a trend of capital shifting from growth stocks to defensive dividend-paying stocks. Merck's personalized mRNA cancer vaccine, developed in collaboration with Moderna, reaching its primary endpoint in clinical trials, and Abbott Laboratories' settlement of infant formula lawsuits, provided positive catalysts for SCHD's major holdings. Furthermore, SCHD has risen approximately 30.11% year-to-date, outperforming the S&P 500 by about 18 percentage points. However, its future trajectory still depends on whether the Federal Reserve maintains interest rates, whether inflation ceases to accelerate, and whether technology stocks regain dominance.
