The latest polls show that most American Democrats oppose aid to Israel in key primary states for 2028, and most respondents believe Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.
The survey, conducted by YouGov for the Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU) policy project, a think tank supporting Palestinian human rights, found that a majority of Democratic voters in six key primary states—South Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Michigan, and Virginia—oppose aid and weapons to Israel. Among these, 80% of respondents in Michigan believe Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, and 52% of respondents in South Carolina oppose selling weapons to Israel.
