Crypto investment firm RockawayX acquires crypto hedge fund Relayer Capital to expand US operations and add long/short strategies
RockawayX announced it is rebranding Relayer Capital as the RockawayX Liquid Opportunities Fund, which will focus on identifying "undervalued liquid tokens and crypto-related equities." Relayer founder Austin Barack will join RockawayX as the fund's Chief Investment Officer (CIO). RockawayX currently manages approximately $2 billion in assets and plans to raise $150 million for the new fund. Relayer's liquid strategy has generated a net return of approximately 70% year-to-date, outperforming an equally weighted combination of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana by 86% as of August 21.
