Peloton's stock has fallen 95% in the past five years, and analysts say it needs to restore strong sales growth to double in the next five years.
Peloton Interactive (PTON) shares have plummeted 95% over the past five years, as of August 26, turning a $10,000 investment five years ago into just $463 today. Despite the company achieving its first annual net profit of $63.2 million in fiscal year 2026 and cutting $100 million in operating expenses, its stock still fell 16% after the release of its fourth-quarter earnings report. Analysts believe Peloton needs to restore strong sales growth, rather than just achieving profitability, to attract investors and double its share price in the next five years. The company's revenue for fiscal year 2026 decreased by 1.8% year-over-year to $2.4 billion, and the median revenue forecast for fiscal year 2027 projects a further decline of 3.9%. As of June 30, its connected fitness subscribers decreased by 9% year-over-year to just over 2.5 million.
