DP World is reportedly shutting down its digital freight platform SeaRates
DP World, a global port terminal operator, is reportedly discontinuing SeaRates, its standalone digital logistics platform. SeaRates is a third-party marketplace and freight-booking platform that offers quotes, ERP, tracking, and rate-management products. DP World acquired SeaRates in 2020, aiming to expand its role beyond ports and terminals into digitally enabled, end-to-end logistics. The decision may indicate that DP World is narrowing its technology focus toward platforms more closely integrated with its core logistics, terminal, and cargo-flow operations.
