Chinese AI company MiniMax has increased its three-year cloud computing procurement cap with Alibaba by 220% to $1.2 billion to meet surging AI hashrate demand.
The Shanghai-based company plans to spend up to $300 million on Alibaba Cloud services this year, nearly triple its initial cap of $115 million, after having used two-thirds of that budget by the end of June.
