Tokio Marine to acquire UK fleet insurer Direct Commercial for $359 million, aiming to expand European operations
The Japanese insurer will spend 265 million pounds ($359 million) to acquire all shares of Direct Commercial, a managing general agent for commercial vehicle fleet insurance. The deal, announced Friday, is expected to close as early as September and aims to grow Tokio Marine's operations beyond North America.
