China Everbright Bank disclosed its semi-annual report for 2026 on the evening of August 28. In the first half of the year, the bank achieved a net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 18.711 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 24.01%; operating income was RMB 63.068 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 4.32%. Concurrently, the bank wrote off and disposed of loans and advances totaling RMB 27.360 billion in the first half, nearly reaching the full-year write-off scale of 2025. As of the end of June, the non-performing loan ratio rose to 1.44%, and the provision coverage ratio decreased to 150.02%.
