Intel CFO David Zinsner stated at Deutsche Bank's 2026 Technology Conference that the defect density of the company's 14A (1.4-nanometer class) process is decreasing faster than expected, marking its best performance since 22nm. He noted that Intel's internal design team has begun developing products on 14A, and the attitude of external foundry customers has undergone a qualitative change, shifting from evaluating technical data to inquiring about capacity allocation. 14A is scheduled for risk production in the second half of 2027 and high-volume manufacturing in 2028.
