SK On announced Monday it has signed an agreement with US-based NeoVolta Power to supply 9 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) pouch cells for energy storage systems (ESS). The contract is valued at approximately 1.5 trillion won ($1.09 billion), with batteries to be manufactured at SK On's Georgia plant and delivered over five years from 2027 to 2031. This deal aims to expand SK On's footprint in the rapidly growing North American power market.
