Micron to report fiscal Q4 earnings on Sept. 30; historical data suggests September may be volatile but subsequent months tend to see gains
From 2017 to 2025, Micron's stock has averaged a 4.1% gain in September, though this is heavily influenced by a 40% return in 2025, with five of nine Septembers showing negative returns. However, October, November, and December have historically averaged gains of 5.3%, 7.8%, and 2.9% respectively. The company is also focusing on long-term strategic customer agreements to counter cyclicality, having signed 16 such agreements and expecting $22 billion in financial commitments and cash deposits.
