GameStop anticipates net sales for the second quarter ending August 1, 2026, to be between $780 million and $800 million, down from $972.2 million in the same period last year. The company attributes the revenue decline to the launch of Nintendo Switch 2 in the prior year's comparable period, planned store closures, and the sale of its French operations. Despite the lower revenue outlook, GameStop expects operating income to increase from $66.4 million in Q2 2025 to between $150 million and $170 million, and net income to rise from $168.6 million to between $290 million and $310 million. The projected net income includes approximately $238 million in net gains related to derivative assets and its equity investment in eBay, partially offset by an estimated $75 million loss on digital assets and related receivables. As of August 1, the company held approximately 43.4 million shares of eBay stock, valued at about $4.94 billion. GameStop plans to release its full second-quarter results on September 8, 2026.
