Wallstreetcn reported that BYD inaugurated its 10,000th flash charging station in Shenzhen on August 28, 2026, and plans to build 20,000 flash charging stations by the end of this year. Meanwhile, CATL's subsidiary, Contemporary Amperex Energy Service Technology Ltd. (CAES), recently announced a plan to establish 100 battery swap stations in Kunming alone, with similar projects to be launched in multiple cities, aiming to exceed 3,000 battery swap stations nationwide by year-end. The two new energy giants are accelerating the construction of their energy replenishment networks to meet the demand for charging/swapping facilities driven by the growth in new energy vehicle sales.
