Meanwhile, CATL's subsidiary, Contemporary Amperex Energy Service Technology Ltd. (CAES), recently announced a plan to establish 100 battery swap stations in Kunming alone, with similar projects to be launched in multiple cities, aiming to exceed 3,000 battery swap stations nationwide by year-end. The two new energy giants are accelerating the construction of their energy replenishment networks to meet the demand for charging/swapping facilities driven by the growth in new energy vehicle sales.
