AI programming unicorn Cognition is reportedly close to finalizing a new funding round of nearly $1 billion, pushing its valuation to $47 billion.
Cognition AI Inc.'s valuation has reportedly surged by nearly 81% in just three months, jumping from $26 billion to approximately $47 billion, according to sources familiar with the matter. This funding round attracted close to $10 billion in investor interest, significantly exceeding the available supply. The company's annualized revenue has more than doubled to over $900 million, up from $492 million at the end of May this year, providing strong support for the substantial increase in valuation. The acquisition of Cursor by competitor SpaceX for $60 billion in August also served as a valuation benchmark for the AI programming tools sector, further stimulating investor interest.
